Dr. John Thomas

Board Certified Sports Chiropractor, Dr. John Thomas, known by his patients as “The Running Doctor”, has amassed an amazing following of fans ranging from world-wide professional marathon runners, WNBA players, and college athletes, to celebrities in the film, TV, and music industries and of course everyone else in between.  In practice since 1995 and involved with music since childhood, Dr. Thomas, a triathlete, marathon runner and music producer/voice-over talent, is very well known for his protocol called “Dr. Thomas’ Muscle Stripping Protocol” which was made popular through his role as team doctor for a Foot Solutions, Inc. International Marathon Team.  He has also enjoyed much success in the music industry as a professional music producer, composer, recording artist, jingle writer, voice-over talent and celebrity chiropractor.

Dr. Thomas has been in practice for over 25 years and has owned and operated four multidisciplinary clinics.  He is most known for his Muscle Stripping Protocol and Full Body Detox Program. Many of the clinical trials during the developmental phases of Dr. Thomas’ Muscle Stripping Protocol were done with the consent of dozens of professional runners from all over the world.  The proven efficacy of Dr. Thomas’ Muscle Stripping Protocol would not have been made possible without the valued input of some of the world’s most talented and internationally known marathon runners.  Dr. Thomas' 4-Step Muscle Stripping Protocol is based around the premise that physical activity causes micro-tears in muscles. In response, the body forms scar tissue or adhesions as part of the healing process. Over time, muscles with adhesions become shorter, tighter and less flexible. These tight short muscles may stress joints, fracture bones, alter biomechanics and set the stage for the onset of arthritis. Dr. Thomas' 4-Step Muscle Stripping Protocol can prevent these injuries by breaking up adhesions in the muscle thereby allowing for subsequent elongation, improved biomechanics, range of motion, muscle power, speed, endurance, agility, flexibility and speedy recovery from training and competition.

After obtaining certification in IDD Accuspina Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression from North American Medical and Manipulation Under Anesthesia,  Dr. Thomas worked tirelessly with medical doctors in the area of manipulation under anesthesia to assist patients with severe joint fixation pathologies.  He also educated neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons in his community on the efficacy of non-surgical spinal decompression and it’s 86% success rate at providing long-lasting relief to patients suffering with disc herniations, foraminal and spinal canal stenosis, facet syndrome, and sciatica.  He has also consulted many doctors on self and practice promotion, practice management and marketing strategies.

In the arena of music and entertainment Dr. Thomas is known as Dr. Jobasto.  As a record producer, recording artist and voice-over talent, Dr. Thomas has owned and operated five recording studios over a span of 25 years under the names Jobasto Productions & Entertainment, Inc.,. Jobasto Music, Inc. and Jobasto Music Camp.  As a recording artist (Dr. Jobasto), Dr. Thomas’  latest single is a song called “Pray” which can be found on I-Tunes & Spotify.

Dr. Thomas has written, produced, composed and performed the music and voice-overs to numerous local and national jingles, radio and television commercials for major national brands such as Coca Cola beverage “Surge”, Texaco, Glidden Paints, Dish Network, Narobi Hair Care products, and many local small businesses. He has even voiced political ad campaigns.  He has also worked with the late Teddy Pendergrass, Monica, Jagged Edge, Keith Sweat, Ying Yang Twins, and countless local singers and recording artists including his own sons Brandon and Levi Thomas.

At the age of 17, under the tutelage of Dr. Thomas and his non-profit organization Jobasto Music Camp, his son, Brandon Thomas, produced a hit record called “U Guessed It”.  “U Guessed It” quickly found its way onto the hip hop Billboard charts.  That wonderful accomplishment catapulted Brandon Thomas into multiple opportunities to write songs and collaborate with music industry greats Madonna, Kanye West, Pablo Dylan (Bob Dylan’s grandson), Lil Wayne, Big Sean, OG MACO, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Will Smith’s son,  Jaden Smith.  Brandon was recently verified as a national celebrity by Twitter and Instagram.  Levi Thomas works extensively with Bobby Brown’s son Bobby Jr.

In his spare time Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife, Parnisia, developing their non-profit organizations, serving the community, yoga, cooking, traveling and composing and producing music together.  They have four children (Brandon, Levi, Shavon & Trey) who have left the nest to find themselves in the world. Dr. Thomas’ favorite quote: “You’ll never know how the words of one man will affect countless millions tomorrow!” Anonymous
