Think Well!

Our parents grew up with him. We grew with him. And now our children are growing up with him. Who you may ask? Dr. Seuss! His funny stories and movies distract us from what a powerful belief system he depicts. Dr. Seuss wrote simple books with an incredible amount of encouragement about how to think well. His stories entail positive outlooks and lessons for young children and adults, and have gently coaxed millions into a healthier belief system.

Our behavior always matches our belief systems, and our belief systems are rooted in our internal dialogue… thinking. Healthy belief system = healthy behavior; unhealthy belief system = unhealthy behavior. It requires no will power to behave according to our beliefs. The trick is ensuring that our internal dialogue and beliefs match our values. It is very stressful to attempt a change in behavior with out changing the belief system that drives it. Instead, start with thinking well.

April is the month where Issaquah Family Chiropractic is celebrating “Think Well” month. We will be tweeting #ThinkWell tweets all month long! Dr. Seuss has become a legend and has left us with a great amount inspiration in the form of quotes, books and entertainment. His quotes will be featured in our tweets all month. Below are some of his famous ones! Share them with children, friends and family. Get creative! Draw out these quotes and hang them around the house for every day encouragement!
